We have recently rennovated part of our premises and we can now offer 9 luxury ensuite bedrooms to anyone looking to stay in the heart of Listowel town. About The Horseshoe
We are delighted to welcome you to the Horseshoe Bar & Restaurant which is owned and managed by Jerry and Margaret Ann Behan. Jerry and Margaret Anne originally purchased the Horseshoe in 2005 and have build a thriving business every since opening the doors on the 1st of Decmber 2005. The Restaurant and Bar have subsequently become a favourite rendezvous with its regular clientele, enjoying good food and wine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Their son Diarmuid has added to the family run business by adding 9 luxury ensuite bedrooms to the premises making The Horseshoe a place where one can enjoy food, have a drink and stay the night.

Family Meal
The food was really good quality, well cooked and generous portions. The waiting staff were lovely and very polite. Couldn't fault it. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable.
Brillant stay
Myself and my husband stayed in behans on the 27th of Oct for 1 night. It was a last minute booking and we were not disappointed. Met Diarmuid on arrival and what a gent he was. Nothing was any trouble for him. He showed us to our room which was warm, modern and spotless. Really lovely room. We went to the bar and had a drink and came back later for dinner which was served efficiently and with a warm welcome and chat. We had breakfast the following morning which was served by diarmuid and was really nice. Would highly recommend behans and diarmuid is a credit to the family business and should be incredibly proud of this wonderful place. Cannot wait to go back. Food was really tasty and very reasonable with a lot of choice.
Quality Pub/Restaurant
Had drinks and dinner in the Horse Shoe bar over the last few day. Top class over all. Friendly service, good food and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean in every area. Mags, the lady behind the bar is so efficient and so informative about Listowel as to what's happening elsewhere in the town and not afraid to promote it. We will definitely be back to Listowel and the Horse Shoe bar again. It's a lovely town! Top class.
